1. Warning! do not make illegal U-Turn at the junction connecting KPJ to the nearby roundabout.
2. Police Traffic is a human and therefore, you should forgive them if they are not communicating or telling you the false information. Snippets of the conversation this morning after the offence: -
Me: OK how much is the fine.
Mr Police: RM100
Me: Can I plead for some discounts - this is my first offence. I never been here before, therefore didnt notice the sign. *you may think it's lame*
Mr Police: Yes, they give you 50% for that.
Alright.. got to settle the fine.. Saw that they will compound the fee if you don't pay within a month. thought that it is just RM50. Went to Simpang Tiga Police Traffic counter.. Its about 12.30noon. I was told by a person in police suit from the other room that I need to come back at 2pm as they are having break. I decide to try my luck.. went into the counter .. Saw a man coming out.. So it is not locked for lunch break.. So, Went inside... There's still people working... Thank God.
Me: Hi.. Wan to settle this summon.. is there any discount..?
Cashier: *typing.... lots of typing - tap! tap! tap!"After discounts -RM100.
Me: What? I was told by the police that it's RM50.
Cashier: The police traffic do not have computer with them therefore they don't know about the amounts well.
:p.. At first i thought it was me who heard wrongly, but my sister also confirmed that the police is saying that! I have 1 month to settle RM100 or else.. I will not have any discounts..
Do you think that the police should consider to let go people who have committed offence the first time? And it was definitely not obvious - the no u-turn signboard.. and there is huge space for car to make u-turn conveniently..
Do you think that is Ok for them to force motorists to make way for the VVIP to pass through? What will happen if this cause other motorist to collide with one another... Who's fault is this?
