Praying on Winter Solstice

It's winter solstice on 22 Dec 2011.  We have some modest offering to our God.  I'm having mensus and not suppose to touch anything..

Two types of people

There are 2 major types of people round you.  The first is to rip you off and the second is to reward you.  This is what my religion has thought me. 

First type of person : -No matter how you wish to ignore and end the relationship to the one that you are hating, you cannot do so, it is because, the life that you are in is all planned by Almighty.  Also applies to, the one you feel your life is dependent upon that person - eg. children, spouse, family.

Second type of person :-these are the people who will give support to you - materialistic or non-materialistic ways.  they will be there for you without you expecting them.

Yes, this is Karma.  What you have now is what you did in the past life, current life.

I must thank this blogger who show the very nice picture of Kuan Ying Niang Niang or Lao Mu. Today, in my conversation with a Malay, I thought of HER. I realize that I have not gone to Fuo Tang for years. I really have to find ways to do so.

I often forgotten who I am and I should satisfy with what I have. These years especially after marriage, life has been awful, I thought. I should be contented. These are all gifts from HER. And I should appreciate every one of them.

Accept my gratitude, LAO MU. I love and miss you. Pls forgive me for all the sins and forgive me to forget you especially during good moments.

The 15th Day

I went to Lim Fah San Temple this morning.. Reach there before 8am. There were lots of people offering their prayers. As today is the 15th day of the Chinese Calendar... During every 1st and 15th day of Chinese Calendar, you will expect a lot of visitor to Chinese Temple.. Some practices to take vegetarian food on this holistic day.

They served vegetarian noodle and most people packed drinking water in a small plastic tube for their family members at home. It is believed that by drinking this holy water, it will keep them blessed.

I saw people washing their face with the water in the pond where Guan Yin statue stands... We followed as well..

Lim Fah San Temple

I went to Lim Fah San Temple after dropping off my daughter at her kindy. Here's some snapshots i took after completing my prayers.

There are only few people visited this temple at the time I went there. There was a couple with the pregnant wife. They went for "qiu cien"/"qiu qien". It is officially called - Lim Fah San Temple Guan Yin Ling Qian. It is done when someone needs direction from God. I have done twice here, although i find the whole thing is quite heavy and i need some time to drop one bamboo straw out.

Usually, there will be a person to translate the outcome of "qiu cien", but i guess for this temple, they do not have one. For me, I prefer to interpret the whole thing by myself (comes with English and Chinese prescription).

I wonder why they keep renovating Guan Yin's figure. I hope nothing serious. I love this place too much.

I hope I know what this God's name is.
