This morning 22/11/2011, I was awaken from my sleep as early as 5am. I thought that it was the birds that made that loud noise. Earlier on, it’s been raining. My thoughts linked to the day when I went to the parking lot outside of my office that happened about a month ago. I saw huge crowd of black birds and I thought that the birds must belongs to the crow family. They were flying in group as though that they were planning for migration.
Back to this morning’s story. So I spent few minutes to get myself awaken and the noise's really getting funnier, so I openned up the window – silence. Wow.. that’s definitely not the birds or rain pour. I rushed out from my bedroom. And the water is pouring loud and I thought it was from upstairs. Nope.. it was from the laundry. The pipe that connects to the washing machine burst and water splashed all over. OMG! Lucky that the machine is still functioning. I was worried about the machine burst and caught fire or electric shock.
Then another issue that bothers me, that is the connection to the internet. it failed despite of many attempts to recover it. It has been like that since yesterday evening.
Then I had a big cup of coffee and started to feel calmed a bit. Had my usual meditation and felt even better. There are huge lists of things to be grateful for and I should stop whining about the 2 tiny matters that happens to bug my mood this morning. Here goes my list:-
1. Time for me to cut down internet time
2. Time for me to do my other urgent works
3. Lucky that I woke up and stop the water in time.
4. Lucky that the water didn’t wet my stuffs
5. Lucky that no electric shock or anything, I’ve got wire cable and socket nearby.
6. Lucky that it happens when I had my good sleep
7. Lucky that I am able to calmly settle everything and get to work in time.
8. Lucky that I am at home when it happens
9. Lucky that I have not switch on the machine
10. Grateful that I am once again be reminded that everything that happens is not the end of the world. There’s always solution and thinking positive is what matters.
